We offer a range of different services to suit you and the family
New NHS Patients, Private Treatments, Routine & Cosmetic Dentistry Crowns, Veneers, Bridgework, Dentures & Dental Implants
We welcome patients to MA Irwin Dental, where we are committed to the delivery of a quality professional clinical service, and treat patients as individuals, encouraging them to seek advice and discuss their needs. The dentists and nurses appreciate the consequence and importance of oral and dental health, dental care and personal appearance, and are happy to take the time to discuss any dental related matter so that patients' requirements are properly addressed.
There is a special welcome to children, even those who are very young, to allow them the opportunity to adopt a favourable routine as regards their dental care, and to avail of preventative treatment which will benefit their dental health in the long term.
The surgery is equipped to facilitate those who have a disability. Please inform the receptionist when making an appointment if there are any particular arrangements the team could implement to guarantee your visit goes smoothly and is an agreeable experience.
The team recognise the existence of reservations, fears and phobias amongst some patients and can take steps to ease the treatment process, such as using inhalation sedation, often referred to as 'laughing gas'. Avoidance of corrective and preventative dental treatment due to a dread of the dentist will likely exacerbate the problem and result in poor dental hygiene. While patients are encouraged to discuss any such fears with the dentist at any stage, the receptionist can make a specific appointment for a consultation to address your concerns.
Some medical conditions are pertinent to diagnosis and treatment, and patients may therefore be required to complete a medical questionnaire or discuss medical details. The team at MA Irwin Dental prioritise discretion and are committed to confidentiality in all matters.
Available to patients are a variety of services that will contribute to good health and a favourable and complimentary appearance. Facilities and equipment such as the dedicated decontamination room and the 3D digital low radiation scanning x-ray machine allow us to achieve and maintain high standards and provide a complete and effective service. Some treatments are routine in nature while others are those that
patients will choose to undergo as additional and supplementary treatments. Patients are encouraged to consult with the dentist on any treatment that might benefit their dental health or personal appearance. The dentist will detail and clarify the options and help them to make choices that are suitable and appropriate.
The dentist will clarfiy the costs of treatment prior to any work being carried out and can discuss with you various options before agreeing with you the treatment that is most appropriate. Depending on personal circumstances, some patients are entitled to full or partial exemption of costs.
The receptionist can explain the details and will process the paperwork to allow patients to avail of their entitlement. Fees not covered by the NHS should be paid to the receptionst by cheque or cash, or arrangements can be made for a payment plan to meet your needs and budget.
The ethos at MA Irwin Dental is one of courtesy and competence, within an atmosphere of caring and respect. We treat everyone as we would like to be treated ourselves and welcome all patients to the surgery, offering assurances that every effort will be made to ensure your visit is a pleasant and painless one.
